The University team participated in the just concluded 4th Kenya university sports association (KUSA) western region this weekend of 22nd and 23rd January 2022.

The games were swimming men and women, volleyball women, Basket ball women and hockey men
Out of 10 universities, Rongo University team was ranked 4th overall.

The Western region hosts universities and university colleges like Rongo University, Maseno University, Masinde Muliro University of Science of Technology, Kamusinga Friends University College, Kabianga University, Kisii University, Tom Mboya University College, Kibabii University, Great Lakes University of Kisumu and Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology.
