Following the outbreak of Covid 19, Rongo University has put in place measures in line with the MoH guideline. All individuals accessing the University must undergo temperature screening at the main entrance, handwashing points have been placed in various strategic points, social distance marking placed within the various buildings, posters and IEC materials strategically mounted to remind people to mask and adhere to all the guidelines as well as a Covid isolation unit for any suspected case.

We have had a few confirmed Covid 19 cases among the staff population, most have recovered and resumed duties, gratefully no mortalities reported. Rongo University Clinic in collaboration with the Rongo Sub-county hospital organized for dose one (1) Covid 19 vaccination exercise for the staff and plans are underway for the 2nd Covid 19 doses to be administered after 12 weeks elapse.

We continue to sensitize Rongo University community on the need to adhere to the MoH protocols and minimize and possibly stop any community transmission of Covid 19 transmission.
