Department of Physical Sciences

Science and Technology has a huge potential for scientific discovery and production of products and services needed to contribute solutions to problems afflicting society in many sectors and should be mainstreamed in the scientific research agenda of the 21st Century and beyond. At the department of physical sciences, we teach students science and technology effectively preparing them to be innovative scientific thinkers. The department is positioning itself to closely work with the National Government and County Governments, particularly county government of Migori, and international partners in scientific research. We are particularly grateful to the Chinese Government through the Wuhan Textile University, China for providing enormous support for one of our programmes in the department. The department, which is growing, currently has six programmes.  As Head of Department, I encourage you to explore the breadth and quality of the excellent academic programmes offered in the department.
