As part of the ongoing Rongo University Community Outreach Program that seeks to promote a strong reading culture through literacy activities, the University donated books to 30 schools.

During the handover, the University librarian Dr. Joel Nakitare challenged the community and teacher librarians to be Reading Ambassadors and to establish Book/Reading Clubs in their schools.

Through this initiative, the University seeks to build a future where knowledge and literacy open doors to endless possibilities for all, especially learners in disadvantaged communities.
