With the expansion of the ongoing USAID, funded project through Local Public Universities for Health Information Systems (HIS), Rongo University on 14.10.2020, made the inaugural foray into Homa-Bay County having successfully managed a similar MoU with Migori County Health Services with a culmination of Systems Evaluation, Monitoring & Evaluation Modelling for 9 facilities for the year ending September 2020.

In partnership with University of Nairobi (UoN), Rongo University (County Proximate University) will provide in country:

  1. Technical support of health information systems.
  2. Operations research activities and publications.
  3. Curriculum review and provision of health works force training.
  4. PPE’s, surgical marks and Hygiene products through government-to-government engagement (G-to-G).

Rongo University presented PPE’s and surgical marks to the department of health and procurement for a consideration to promoting local talents and innovations. Rongo University has been formally invited to submit documents for consideration to supply the PPE’s and surgical marks.
