On 19th September 2022, Rongo University in partnership with HITAJI Development Initiative under the sponsorship of U.S. Department of State’s Mandela Washington Fellowship Reciprocal Exchange Program of the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI), begun a one-week STEM Mentorship program meant to Promote Economic Opportunities and Empowerment of Underserved Secondary School Girls in Nyatike Sub-County, Migori County.  The girls were drawn from five secondary schools namely: Bande Girls Secondary School, Otando Mixed Secondary School, Kanga Onditi Secondary School, Olasi Mixed Secondary School, and Nyandago Mixed Secondary School.
