Three Intakes Every Academic Year

Rongo University has three intakes in an academic year for all courses. Advertisements for the respective intakes are normally carried in the local press approximately two months before the intake.

SEP

September / October

Main academic intake for students joining Rongo University programmes.

DEC

December / January

Additional intake providing opportunities for eligible applicants to commence their studies.

APR

April / May

Third annual intake for eligible programmes offered during the respective admission cycle.

Congratulations to all students who have been placed at Rongo University by KUCCPS. Your journey towards higher education begins here.

Please download your admission letter, fee structure and other admission documents through the KUCCPS 2026 Student Portal or from the email address submitted to KUCCPS.

Reporting Date: 24 August 2026

Reporting & Programme Transfer

Students admitted to Rongo University are expected to submit the required admission documents in hard copy on the reporting date.

  • Reporting date for the 2026 KUCCPS intake: 24 August 2026.
  • Required admission documents should be submitted in hard copy on reporting.
  • Students wishing to apply for inter-programme transfer may do so within the first two weeks of reporting.

Deferment of Admission

An applicant who is unable to take up an offer of admission must formally notify the Academic Registrar by completing Form RUC F2 included in the joining instructions or by writing directly to the Deputy Academic Registrar.

The request should reach the relevant office at least one week before the date of registration.

Failure to communicate a deferment will result in the applicant being deemed to have forfeited the admission position and may lead to de-registration from the admitted programme.

Application Procedure

Follow the steps below to submit your application to Rongo University.

Obtain the Application Form

Application forms may be obtained from the Admissions Office at the University Main Campus, Kitere Hill, or through the University’s Student Downloads Centre.

Pay the Application Fee

Pay the applicable non-refundable application fee through the designated University bank accounts.

Complete Your Application

Complete the application form accurately and attach copies of the required academic certificates and supporting documents.

Submit Your Documents

Return or send the completed application and supporting documents to the Registrar, Academic Affairs.

Application fees may be paid by direct deposit at any KCB or National Bank branch into the Rongo University account. CASH and postal orders will not be accepted.

The Admissions Office is committed to timely, efficient and student-centred admission services.

To ensure that 70% of admission letters are prepared and dispatched three months before the opening date.

To ensure students sign the nominal roll within the first three weeks of the opening date in compliance with the 20% rule.

To ensure all faculty interdepartmental transfer requests are handled within the first three weeks from the opening date of every new academic year.

To ensure students are issued with student identification cards within three weeks of the opening date.
